Organic Whole Wheat Stoneground Flour
Our organic whole-wheat flour is made from organic wheat grains through the stoneground method. By using a stoneground method, the wheat is not exposed to excessive heats and more nutrients remain in the product, unlike other refined wheat flours.
Wheat has been part a healthy staple diet in the history of humans. Wheat contains essential minerals, vitamins and fibers however, with excessive farming and time the quality of wheat and nutritional value has been deteriorating.
It is best to choose wheat that is organic and has had as little refinement as possible. Our organic whole wheat stoneground flour is a great option for that and provides fantastic nutrition for our sourdough starters, (also as part of our sourdough kits) along with our other organic flours.

Oh this flour is gorgeous. My starter is thick and bubbly, happy and delicious. The colour is golden and clearly not bleached - I love it.
I ordered your flour because I am seeking a good, course, wholemeal bread flour, and find what is available in New Zealand too fine and soft, resulting in a pasty dough. Your flour is an improvement on what I have found previously but sadly still not what I am looking for.
