What is kombucha?
Kombucha is a fermented sweetened tea loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, probiotics and minerals to improve our health and wellbeing. Kombucha has been around for more than 2000 years and makes a great alternative to soda or juices. Kombucha can be brewed and flavored to your desired taste and fizziness.
How Do I Make Kombucha?
Symbiota's kombucha kit includes everything you need to get started, all you need to add is water. Simply brew your tea, dissolve sugar in the tea, let it cool to room temperature, add your kombucha SCOBY culture and let it sit to ferment for a few days. Once your ferment has reached your desired taste, you can then bottle it and flavor your kombucha using fruit, spices, herbs etc. Bottling your kombucha will increase the carbonation, resulting in a healthy probiotic drink. I just love kombucha. It is my favourite drink of all tines...such a pleasant taste to drink and very moreable. For years I was the biggest lover and supporter of kombucha and always had if brewing in my kitchen. Sadly came the time for me to move into a Rest Home and I could no longer make the drink in my sleep as I was so used to making. I was absolutely over the moon to win a Kit via the Womans Day. I have only today started making itthe brew up again because I never had a Scoby and nor did I have the provisos to start making it as a regular drink. I am so looking forward to having this available for me to drink again. I have my own fridge and microwave here in my bedroom so i can leave the drinks in my fridge ready for me to have when i want them. Thank you so very very much
